Our Golf & Cucina week takes place at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Bra - not far from the town of Alba. It is an honour for us to present our event ‘Golf & Cucina’ in one of the best universities of gastronomic science. This university was founded in 2004 by Slow Food. What does Slow Food mean? The focus is on food culture, with an emphasis on: good, clean and ‘fair’ quality food.
The university campus is located in a kind of neo-Gothic village and is part of the Carlo Albertine complex of the Pollenzo Agency, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. At the beginning of 2000, it was transformed into a centre of excellence for the study and practice of gastronomy. The agency also includes the Banca del Vino, the Albergo dell'Agenzia and the Garden Restaurant. The training model is complemented by practical laboratory experiences and study trips: the vision of the founders of the university is to be able to propose training activities for non-university students as well as university students.
This has inspired us and therefore we have thought of a highly interesting culinary experience for you, which is not exclusively based on good dinners, but offers you a clear training of the food matter with two Cooking Classes in the Food Lab of the university. The cooking classes are held in English and are limited to a maximum group size of 20 people. Of course, there will also be a Food & Wineemotion Experience with a guided tour of the Wine Bank and a total of four Green Fees (two each at Cherasco and La Margherita). Don't miss this opportunity to experience real masterclasses in a unique setting of the highest quality.
