The A.S.D. Golf Club Punta Ala was founded in the spring of 1964. The PAR 72 course has a total length of 6,168 metres, with gentle and natural undulations, in the middle of the Maremma macchia, which consists of a dense vegetation of evergreen trees.

Centuries-old holm oaks, oaks and albatross bushes, which are also beautiful natural obstacles for the game, surround the course. It is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Tuscany and Italy, nestled in the beautiful vegetation of the Maremma in the province of Grosseto, just a few kilometres from tourist towns such as Castiglione della Pescaia and Follonica. 

Hole 8 is the most challenging hole of the course, not so much because of its length, but because of the considerable slope. 

One of the most beautiful and scenic holes, on the other hand, is hole 7. The course is downhill, lined with trees and bordered by a wide ditch on the left for its entire length. Three large trees on the left and right require perfect shot placement.

From the clubhouse there is a beautiful view of the golf course and of the island of Elba.
