Locanda La Raia is located in Gavi in southern Piedmont, nestled in the vineyards, pastures and forests of the biodynamic farm La Raia. This large green house, once a post office for travellers, has now become a boutique hotel with twelve rooms as well as a Demeter-certified biodynamic winery. The rooms, all different from each other, are furnished with Piedmontese furniture from the 17th and 19th centuries.

The restoration of Locanda La Raia and its green spaces was carried out by Studio deamicisarchitetti, who created a continuous dialogue between inside and outside. The original structure of the house, with its arches, vaults and large windows overlooking the vineyards, has been maintained and complemented by a large space for the light coming in from the hills.

Locanda La Raia has an excellent restaurant as well as a heavenly SPA facility. The latter overlooks the vineyards of Cortese. With its sauna, hammam and indoor and outdoor heated swimming pool, it invites you to indulge in a moment of well-being in a peaceful spot amidst the Gavi hills. The relaxation area also includes a fitness room equipped by Technogym and open to the garden. 
Golfers will also be in their element: the two golf courses Colline del Gavi (1x 27 holes) and Villa Carolina (2x 18 holes) are within a radius of 16 kilometres from the hotel.
