The Hotel Certaldo was created after the renovation of a former 14th century mill on the banks of the river Elsa in the heart of Tuscany. Today, the hotel is a comfortable four-star eco-hotel, equipped with a turbine for the production of hydroelectricity and a system for heat exchange from the river. Some renovation work has already been carried out in the lobby of the house. Further enrichments such as the creation of a SPA area and the "re-functioning" of the mill into a wine cellar are already being planned. Today, guests can enjoy 30 spacious rooms, a comfortable meeting room, a cosy restaurant and a small outdoor pool, set in a fabulous park. The 5000 square metre green area stretches along the course of the river and forms an island that is only accessible from the Hotel Certaldo. Apart from other hotel guests, you will only come into contact with the "pleasures of nature of the hotel" here. Thus, in the hotel's garden you can observe mallard families, beautiful white herons, hunting grey herons, thieving magpies, shy squirrels or turtles. A true paradise on earth to be reunited with nature.
