The Marco Simone Golf Club is located just a few kilometers from the eternal city of Rome. The typically hilly terrain is characteristic of the course. The castle and the streams complete the picturesque picture.
The project was initiated by the Biagiotti family at the end of the 1980s and designed by architect Jim Fazio. The 2023 Ryder Cup was the perfect occasion to renovate the golf course: The design of the new course was redesigned to not only create pitfalls and challenges for the world's strongest players, but also to showcase the natural, undulating terrain of the landscape.
The 18-hole course at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club is not easy to play. The reward is a fantastic panoramic view of the city of Rome and the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. Golf trips in Lazio are definitely associated with culture.
