Golf Clubs ➜ Golf Club Padova Holes 27
The first golf course in Padua was founded in 1962 on the initiative of the industrialist Igino Kofler and a group of enthusiastic golfers under the name Golf Club Euganeo. Today's golf course is located in the middle of the Euganean Hills and counts 27 holes, designed by the English architect John Harrys from the London Cotton office and adjacent to Villa Barbarigo from the 17th century.
The first 18 holes, par 72, convey technical and scenic harmony at first sight, also thanks to the valuable contribution of the historic club chairman Benedetto Sgaravatti.
The golf course is a true botanical garden with 8000 trees and shrubs selected according to landscape and technical criteria, revealing a unique course that winds through strategically distributed ponds and sand hazards.
Under the presidency of Ascanio Calvi di Bergolo, Padua Golf Club has reached a considerable number of members (about 780) and is regularly rated among the 20 best golf courses in Italy. Since 2003, the club has had 9 additional tournament holes, par 36, which are technically modern and provide an exciting change from the traditional course.
