Golf Clubs ➜ Golf Club Madonna di Campiglio Holes 9
When Fritz Osterreicher decided to convert part of the land he had inherited from the Austrian imperial family into a golf course, he undoubtedly faced major technical and legal problems.
However, he entrusted himself to the greatest golfer of his time, Henry Cotton, who designed the course and was only accepted into the Italian Golf Association in 1923.
This made it the third golf course in Italy after Acquasanta in Rome and Menaggio and Cadenabbia, but also the first at altitude in Europe. Since then, the course has undergone some changes and improvements, such as the introduction of double starts, but on the whole the course, which was born with 9 holes, has remained the same. The course is characterized by a panorama of absolute beauty, immersed in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park and offering an enchanting view of the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.
