Golf Clubs ➜ Golf Club Forte dei Marmi Holes 18
Forte dei Marmi Golf Club offers a unique scenic setting that makes it possible to play just a few hundred metres from the sea while enjoying a fabulous view of the Apunian Alps. Designed in 1990 by Venetian architect Marco Croze and affiliated to the Italian Golf Federation from the beginning, the golf club quickly became one of the most famous golf courses in Tuscany and a reference point for golfers in Italy and abroad. The design of the course, with its lively development, is reminiscent of a parkland course and extends over a wide and varied area with vast open spaces, age-old woods, water hazards and wide fairways.
The Forte dei Marmi Golf Club course has 18 holes, par 71, and a length of 5,873 metres. The technical course offers stimulating challenges for golfers of all levels.
Recent changes have been made to the layout and a project to plant native plants is underway to make the course even more spectacular and technically challenging. The fairway turf has been relaid with Agrostide L93, considered best suited to the substrate structure, while the tee areas of each hole have been renewed with Tifway 419, a special type of macroterma that best resists trampling wear.
