Golf Clubs ➜ Circolo del Golf Roma Acquasanta Holes 18
The Acquasanta golf course is the oldest golf club in Italy and is located in a formerly sacred area. It was founded in 1903 and designed and built by Mr. Vanni, Arthur Flach, Young and Hector De Castro.
Until 1912, the course had nine holes and it was only in 1913 that the club enlarged the grounds due to the increased number of members and players, and the "course" was extended to 18 holes. The design of the course was immediately successful and has remained very similar to today's, albeit with the order of holes reversed.
The golf course is located only 20 minutes from the city center and covers an area of 5854 meters in a classic parkland course.
Many water hazards on the course, as well as trees such as pines and cypresses lining the fairways, make the course technically demanding and challenging.
