The Circolo degli Ulivi (Olive Tree Club) golf course in Sam Remo was founded in 1932 and laid out on various levels of terraces on the mountainside. Thanks to its location, the climate is mild and sunny all year round, making it possible to play even in winter.
The course is not very long but still technically demanding and challenging with narrow fairways and small, well-defended greens where precision rather than strength is required.
Various major golf tournaments, such as the Italian Open biz on the European Senior Tour, have been held here. The Club House has a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea.
